The Atlas Cedar (Cedrus atlantica), an imposing and noble tree, is emblematic of the Moroccan mountains where it thrives between 1,000 and 2,000 meters in altitude. This majestic conifer can reach over 30 meters in height and live for several centuries. Its dense and fragrant wood contains an aromatic treasure that has always been prized for its warm, woody, and slightly balsamic scent. The conditions of its environment—abundant sunshine, pure air, and well-drained soil—promote the optimal production of its aromatic molecules.

The harvesting of wood for distillation is carried out in accordance with natural cycles and responsible forest management practices. The parts used generally come from trees at the end of their life cycle or from branches recovered after maintenance, thus limiting the impact on the forests. This sustainable approach helps preserve this precious wood while maintaining the ecological richness of the Atlas forests, true reservoirs of biodiversity.
