A PURE AND NATURAL PRODUCT

The Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) is a majestic conifer of the Pinaceae family, reaching up to 35 meters in height. It is distinguished by its orange bark on the upper part of the trunk, which contrasts with the grayish hues at the base. Its long, bluish-green needles, grouped in pairs, give it a light and slender form characteristic of boreal and mountain forests.

Undemanding, it adapts to a wide variety of conditions, growing in poor, sandy, rocky, or acidic soils. It is highly resistant to freezing temperatures and cold winds, making it a dominant species in the forests of Northern Europe and Asia. Its slow growth and hardiness also make it an excellent choice for reforestation and soil stabilization at high altitudes.

Its ovoid cones, borne on the upper branches, mature in two years and open to release winged seeds, dispersed by the wind. In addition to its ecological role, the Scots pine is used for its wood, resin, and essential oil extracted from its needles, known for its invigorating, expectorant, and purifying properties.
